Your CatWalk XT system can be moved if necessary. Disconnect the cables between the walkway and computer. There are two such cables: a network cable from the PC to the camera, and a USB cable from the PC to the Control Unit. Take note of how the network cable is connected: on the PC it connects to the network card, which is normally labeled accordingly, not to the network port higher up near the USB ports. At the walkway end, the network cable goes directly to the camera; do not plug it into the control unit.
If you are just moving the system down the hall, you can unlock the wheel casters and simply roll it to the new location. If it needs to be transported to a new facility, see below.
OEM packaging will not be necessary. It may be easiest to leave the CatWalk walkway assembled for the relocation, while taking special precautions for the more sensitive components (the glass plate, illuminated ceiling). Be sure to lock the wheel casters to prevent inadvertent movement. It is recommended to remove the camera and Control Unit device from the Walkway, in addition to the cable connections, to better safeguard the transport to the new room or facility.
Please consult the available documentation in MyNoldus, including the Walkway Assembly Instructions, for further information. The assembly documentation shows how the camera and control unit are mounted.
Please note, certain provisions in the NoldusCare Terms and Conditions will disqualify any and all hardware warranties should damage occur during packaging and/or transportation. This will result in needing to purchase replacement components that may become damaged during the moving process.
