Selecting an Axis IP camera in FaceReader 7, 8, or 9

To connect an Axis camera to FaceReader 7, 8, or 9:

  1. In the Select Camera window, under Select Camera, choose IP Camera.
  2. Under Source URL, enter the source URL of your camera. For cameras configured by Noldus, this will typically be 192.168.200.1 for the first camera, 192.168.200.2 for the second camera, etc. It should also be labeled on the camera itself.
  3. For Axis IP cameras, enter one of the following (replacing the IP address with the same address from step 2):
    1. http://IP address camera/mjpg/video.mjpg
    2. http://IP address camera/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi
  4. Under Frame rate, select the frame rate (default: 5 fps).
  5. If your camera is password-protected, select Secured and enter the Username and the Password.
  6. Select MJPEG.
  7. Select Use as Default Camera if you want FaceReader to automatically select the current camera for future camera analyses.

The camera view should appear in the Preview image window.
